He attended Cherokee County High School, where he graduated with honors. He completed his undergraduate work at Jacksonville State University, graduating magna cum laude with a biology major and chemistry minor. He was the President of his class at the University of South Alabama, where he graduated in 2006 with a Master of Health Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies. His interests include sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He has worked for Dr. Charles B. May, Jr. since September of 2006. Colin is married to the former Emily Padgett of Rome.
